Keep up the training!

As the festivities are getting into full swing, don't forget that we'll still be in the park, working you hard, right up until the 22 Dec. Our last 2 timetabled classes will be:

- Mon 22 Dec: 6.15am Wimbledon Park
- Mon 22 Dec: 9.30am South Park Gardens (Welcoming everyone to this final session)

And then:

- Mon 29 Dec: THE MINCE PIE BURN-OFF!

Bonus HIIT Sessions:

To boost the number of workouts you can fit into 1 week, we're adding 4 extra HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions to the South Park Gardens timetable in October & November:

Saturday 18 October: 7.45 - 8.30am
Saturday 25 October: 7.45 - 8.30am
Saturday 1 November: 7.45 - 8.30am
Saturday 8 November: 7.45 - 8.30am

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is about getting your heart rate racing, your body sweating & your muscles burning. Fast-paced exercises will torch calories & boost your metabolism. Short, timed recovery periods will enable you to keep the intensity high whilst still maintaining form.

You can use your class passes at these sessions or do pay-as-you-go. If you'd like to do the double & come to the 9.00am session as well, we'll happily give you extra training for the 30 minutes in between the 2 sessions!

Early Morning Sessions Are Changing Slightly

We've had a lot of requests for our early sessions to finish at 7am.  We suggested a 45 minute intense session, but have heard some of our hardcore clients would like the full hour. As no-one is keen to start at 6am, we’ve come up with a good solution.

We’ll start on the dot at 6.15am, with a warm-up & intense express session that will finish at 7.00am. Following this, there will be a 15 minute challenging strength & core session.  This gives you the option of a 45 minute or 60 minute class.

This new format applies to all of our 6.15am sessions in Wimbledon Park & South Park Gardens, & will start next week.

We’ve got some challenging new workouts planned to wake you up & have you glowing all day!

Claire's not only a formidable runner, she's an amazing Personal Trainer & Running Coach. She'll first observe & evaluate your running & then work with you to improve your efficiency & speed. Not only will this help you to become a better runner, it'll also reduce your chances of getting injured.

Don't be intimidated by her swiftness, Claire is brilliant at helping all levels of runners from beginners through to advanced.

Welcome To The Team Sophie - Ironwoman Extraordinaire!

Some of you will have already met Sophie, our newest team member. A qualified personal trainer, triathlete, runner & mum of 3. She's passionate about sharing her love of sports, fitness & life!

She's an amazing woman who has really mastered the art of juggling a busy family life with fitness. She's run 10 marathons (one in Moscow!) & competed in numerous sprint & Olympic distance triathlons including the Ironman Austria in 2013!!!!!

Sophie will be running some of our Fit In The Park classes, coaching some BootCamps & taking personal training sessions. Get in touch if you'd like to find out more or book in some sessions with her.

Exercising with a group of like-minded people is proven to get better results than training on your own. Strength in numbers gives you a support network, friendly competition & more fun. You're also less likely to quit on a chilly day if you've got friends to meet & workout with.

Mats, Mats, Glorious Mats!

As a team, we spend hours cleaning & drying them. Our cars have a permanent damp mat smell. And although we don't mind too much, our loved ones aren't quite so impressed.

So, in an effort to improve family relations, we'll be asking you to bring your own mats to all of our Fit In The Park classes in Wimbledon Park & South Park Gardens from 7 October. We'll have spares if you forget, but please do try & remember.

You can buy them cheaply from Amazon, Argos & the big Sainsbury's, Tesco & Asda. Or ask one of our trainers if they have any old ones to sell on.

You really don't need anything flash, just something to throw down on the ground to protect you from the mud. Or you could always "go commando" & be mat free!

A Bank Holiday With Good Weather?

I don't want to speak too soon, but the forecast for tomorrow is looking pretty good for those of us in SW London. No rain predicted & there should be a little bit of sunshine to keep us all smiling.

As usual, all of our hard working instructors will be enjoying a well earned day off, so there will be no classes tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday). However, we'll be back full of energy & raring to go on Tuesday 28th May!
